Job Overview

The organisation is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Copywriter with a strong background in SEO and content writing to join its expanding remote writing team on a long-term basis.

This role offers the opportunity to create content for over 1,600 clients and publishers across a wide range of industries, delivering work that reflects each client’s distinct voice, style, and objectives.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a remote environment and consistently producing high-quality written content across multiple formats while meeting performance and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities

  • Produce and refine a broad range of written content, including SEO-focused long-form blogs and articles.
  • Develop persuasive, conversion-driven sales copy, service pages, website content, and landing pages.
  • Create accurate and engaging product descriptions for e-commerce platforms.
  • Write middle- and bottom-of-funnel (MOFU/BOFU) content to support lead nurturing and conversion goals.
  • Deliver in-depth thought leadership pieces and long-form “skyscraper” content.
  • Contribute social media and email marketing copy as part of integrated digital campaigns.
  • Conduct independent research to ensure all content is factual, original, and authoritative.
  • Produce content for client opportunities across 1,000+ publishers, spanning digital platforms, B2B environments, and specialised industry sectors.
  • Adapt writing style to align with varying brand guidelines, tones of voice, and target audience personas.
  • Manage a consistent volume of writing assignments while maintaining high standards within a full-time, remote work schedule.
  • Collaborate virtually with project managers and editors to deliver high-quality content within agreed deadlines.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 18 months’ professional writing experience in an agency, in-house, or freelance capacity.
  • Outstanding written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and error-free content.
  • Experience writing across a range of industries, with particular strength in digital marketing and B2B environments.
  • Proven ability to adopt and maintain a client’s voice, style, and tone across different brands and target audiences.
  • Full availability to commit to a 40-hour-per-week remote working schedule.
  • A highly self-directed, deadline-focused approach, supported by strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Comfort working independently as a contractor in a fully remote environment, managing multiple content types and client requirements.

  • SEO and content optimisation platforms, including SurferSEO, Clearscope, Ahrefs, and SEMrush
  • Task and project management tools such as Basecamp, ClickUp, Trello, Asana, or similar systems

Additional Information

Compensation
Remuneration is negotiable and will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Annual merit-based salary reviews are offered in line with performance.

Working Hours
Working hours are structured to align with regional time zones and require availability for a full 40-hour work week, excluding lunch or break periods where specified.

  • Asia (Philippines, Indonesia, etc.):
    Required availability from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM (PH Time), Monday to Friday.
  • Africa / Europe (excluding South Africa and the British Isles):
    Required availability from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (EST), Monday to Friday.
  • South Africa:
    Monday to Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM (SAST)
    Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (SAST)
  • British Isles (UK, Ireland, Scotland, etc.):
    Required availability from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM (GMT), Monday to Friday.
  • North and South America:
    Required availability from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (local time), Monday to Friday.
