Job Overview
The Content Assistant role is a part-time opportunity requiring approximately 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility in how those hours are scheduled.
The Extension Studio is a premium hair extension and hair loss solutions brand dedicated to confidence, care, and emotional wellbeing.
As a small, founder-led team, the studio values intentional creativity, flexibility, and clarity of thought. The ideal candidate is technically competent, naturally curious, and confident thinking beyond standard templates and passing trends.
This position is well suited to someone at an early stage of their content or marketing career who enjoys analysing content performance, developing original ideas, and editing engaging short-form video content.
Core Responsibilities
Content Research & Insights
- Research digital content across beauty, hair loss, confidence, and lifestyle sectors
- Identify emerging trends, effective hooks, content formats, and emotional angles
- Provide weekly insights highlighting what is performing well and the reasons behind its success
Content Ideation
- Generate original content ideas informed by research and performance insights
- Propose new formats, creative angles, and series concepts
- Support content planning by reducing repetition and avoiding creative fatigue
Short-Form Editing & Repurposing
- Edit short-form video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels
- Apply feedback with care to continuously refine and improve edits
- Create simple carousel posts and repurpose existing content across multiple formats
Skills & Requirements
- Reliable internet connectivity and access to a personal laptop suitable for remote work
- Strong interest in digital marketing, social media platforms, and evolving content trends
- Hands-on experience with tools such as CapCut, Canva, or similar creative software
- Excellent written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Receptive to feedback and motivated to learn, adapt, and improve quickly
- Genuine interest in beauty, confidence, or wellness-focused brands

How to Apply

2. Short Video Response (60–90 seconds)
A self-recorded video filmed on a mobile phone is perfectly acceptable.
In the video, applicants should explain:
- One recent piece of social media content they believe performed well
- The reasons behind its success (such as emotion, format, hook, or audience response)
- How the concept could be adapted for a premium, confidence-led beauty or hair brand that supports women
