School Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required
- Teaching Experience: Minimum 1 year
- Certificates: TESL/TEFL certificate (100+ hours) required
- Certification Requirement: TEFL certification mandatory

Additional School Requirements:
To qualify as a Preply tutor, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess an English teaching certificate such as TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, or other approved qualifications
- Demonstrate proficiency in English
- Have experience teaching one-to-one classes, preferably online
- Be skilled in using or creating teaching materials and resources
- Maintain a high-speed internet connection
- Exhibit a cheerful, patient, and responsible approach to teaching
Candidates holding a certificate from Preply’s approved list will receive a “Professional Tutor” badge, which enhances visibility, attracts more students, improves retention, and increases earning potential on the platform.
