Job Overview

The Bids & Pursuits Copywriting Co-ordinator is responsible for supporting the development, refinement, and editing of written content used in tenders, proposals, and pursuit documentation. This role involves close collaboration with the BDO WAVE Client Service and Design Teams, alongside UK-based Pursuit Leads and Business Development Managers, to ensure all deliverables align with brand standards, maintain accuracy, and effectively engage the target audience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and format written content for tenders, proposals, and pursuit materials in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Adapt and tailor content to reflect BDO UK’s tone of voice, brand standards, and strategic objectives.
  • Proofread and quality-check all written materials to ensure precision, clarity, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect, verify, and refine information for bid submissions.
  • Manage and update content repositories, templates, and case study libraries to maintain relevance and accessibility.
  • Contribute to the development of messaging strategies tailored to various audiences and service lines.
  • Develop the confidence and communication skills required to engage effectively with senior leaders and C-suite executives when clarifying or refining content.

Skills & Requirements

  • Excellent business writing and editing abilities, with the capacity to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Eagerness and ability to quickly develop knowledge of audit, accounting, and advisory services.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Willingness to build confidence in engaging with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and agile work environment.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • One to two years of experience in a writing, communications, marketing, or bids support position within either an agency or corporate setting.
  • Previous exposure to business writing within professional services or corporate brand communication would be advantageous.
