Job Overview
The company is seeking a highly productive SEO Copywriter to serve as the voice behind its client websites. This role involves creating the foundational copy required for new website launches, as well as expanding existing sites with strategically developed, location-specific landing pages.
This is not a traditional “1,000 words per day” writing position. The successful candidate will leverage AI tools to generate content efficiently at scale. However, the core value of the role lies in refining, enhancing, and localising that content to ensure it ranks competitively in search results and effectively converts website visitors into qualified leads.
Core Responsibilities
- New Website Onboarding: Develop essential website pages — including Home, About, Services, Locations, and Contact — for each newly launched client site.
- Landing Page Expansion: Create and optimise geo-targeted service pages (e.g., service + city combinations) to help clients strengthen visibility and authority across surrounding suburbs and service areas.
- AI-Assisted Drafting & Refinement: Utilise AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to produce initial content drafts, followed by thorough editing to eliminate robotic phrasing, correct inaccuracies, and ensure grammatical precision and natural tone.
- Conversion-Focused Copywriting: Craft engaging headlines and persuasive Calls to Action (CTAs) designed to convert website visitors into qualified enquiries and inbound calls.
- Local Optimisation: Conduct research to incorporate relevant local landmarks, neighbourhood references, and regional terminology, reinforcing the client’s credibility as a trusted local authority in search results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with SEO Specialists and Developers to produce high-performing, search-optimised content aligned with broader digital strategies.
Skills & Requirements
The AI-Copywriting Skill Set:
- AI Proficiency: Demonstrates strong expertise in crafting precise prompts that guide AI tools to produce content with the correct tone and intent from the outset (e.g., conversational and locally relatable rather than overly corporate or generic).
- Strong Editorial Judgment: Possesses the ability to quickly identify AI-generated phrasing and refine it into natural, authentic, and engaging copy that resonates with the target audience.
- Foundational SEO Knowledge: Understands how to integrate keywords strategically and organically, ensuring content remains readable and user-focused while supporting search engine performance.
- CMS Competence: Comfortable working within WordPress to upload, format, and publish content, including the use of headings (H2/H3), bold text, lists, and other on-page formatting best practices.

- Quality Standards: Ensures every page meets internal E-E-A-T benchmarks, resulting in content that reads as though it was written by a knowledgeable local expert and demonstrates clear authority and trustworthiness.
- Conversion Impact: Produces persuasive, action-driven copy that leads to measurable increases in client phone enquiries and form submissions, rather than serving as purely search-optimised filler content.
