Website Revamp Initiatives
The role involves enhancing the existing website by restructuring headers for clarity and streamlining site navigation. Strategic call-to-action elements, such as “Book a Stay,” are to be prominently introduced. Legacy content is reviewed and outdated sections removed to ensure a cohesive user experience, with uniformity applied across the footer and overall site layout.
Design Consistency and Functional Optimisation
Efforts are focused on maintaining brand consistency through unified use of colour schemes, typography, and visual assets. Customer testimonials are to be attractively presented, while exclusive benefits for direct bookings are highlighted. Technical integration with systems like Eviivo and Rezdy is required, alongside improvements in loading speed, mobile adaptability, and compliance with SEO best practices such as structured data.
Content and SEO Development
Responsibilities also include establishing a blog framework and designing high-conversion landing pages. Enhancements such as alt image descriptions, consent banners, and links to legal documentation (e.g. privacy policy) are implemented to support compliance, accessibility, and search engine visibility.
Ongoing Site Management
The position demands consistent upkeep, including regular updates to plugins, data backups, and monitoring of website performance. There is also a need to assess user behaviour and apply new digital tools or integrations where relevant.
Digital Marketing Collaboration
The role further supports promotional efforts through assistance with paid search (e.g. Google Ads), search engine optimisation, and newsletter/email marketing campaigns. In addition, there is ongoing involvement in enhancing local search performance and updating the Google Business Profile.
Skills & Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in WordPress website management, ideally with experience using Elementor as a page builder
- Solid understanding of search engine optimisation, user experience principles, and mobile-responsive design
- Previous exposure to hospitality-related platforms or online booking systems is considered an advantage
- Highly dependable with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, showing initiative and a proactive approach
