The organisation is seeking a Local SEO Specialist to enhance online visibility, search rankings, and inbound demand for a multi-location, service-based healthcare provider. This position is highly execution-driven and focused on delivering measurable results, with primary responsibility for managing and optimising local search performance across Google Business Profiles, location-specific pages, and service-related search queries.
The successful candidate will be tasked with improving map pack visibility, increasing qualified local traffic, and converting search intent into confirmed patient appointments. Core Responsibilities
Local SEO Strategy and Implementation
- Lead and execute the local SEO roadmap across all clinic locations
- Enhance Google Business Profile rankings, visibility, and engagement
- Optimise for local service keywords related to physical therapy, performance, and recovery services
- Identify and prioritise opportunities based on competition, search intent, and conversion potential
Google Business Profile Optimisation
- Manage and optimise Google Business Profile listings, including categories, services, descriptions, and media
- Implement and oversee review generation strategies to strengthen reputation signals
- Monitor insights, map pack rankings, and local visibility trends
- Resolve listing inconsistencies, duplicates, and data inaccuracies
Location Pages and On-Page Optimisation
- Optimise location and service pages to align with local search intent
- Improve page titles, headers, internal linking, and implement schema where applicable
- Ensure consistent Name, Address, and Phone (NAP) details across the website and third-party directories
- Support the creation and optimisation of local landing pages as required
Local Authority and Market Visibility
- Strengthen and maintain accurate local citations and directory listings
- Support local link-building and partnership initiatives where relevant
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify visibility gaps and growth opportunities
Tracking and Performance Reporting
- Track local rankings, inbound calls, direction requests, and website traffic
- Produce performance reports with insights directly tied to patient acquisition
- Refine and adjust strategies based on data performance and competitive changes
Skills & Requirements
Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 3 to 6+ years of practical, hands-on experience in Local SEO
- Demonstrated success in achieving strong rankings for businesses operating within competitive local markets
- In-depth knowledge of Google Business Profile management and key local ranking factors
- Proven experience optimising location-based, service-oriented businesses
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, BrightLocal, Whitespark, or comparable platforms
- Ability to link local SEO initiatives directly to measurable conversion outcomes and business growth
Desirable Attributes
- Experience within healthcare, wellness, or other service-based sectors
- Familiarity with multi-location SEO strategies and scalability considerations
- Practical experience implementing local schema markup and technical SEO enhancements
- Confidence in utilising AI tools to support research, analysis, and optimisation workflows
