Job Overview
This role stands out for senior social and creative leaders seeking a fast‑paced, results-driven environment. Candidates will operate close to performance metrics, observing firsthand how their ideas directly influence revenue.
The position involves direct collaboration with founders and creators, bypassing traditional layers of management. Compensation reflects the impact of the role, offering a strong base salary along with meaningful performance-based incentives.
The company is a lean, profitable startup agency focused on scaling creator-led brands through high-velocity social content, data-driven iteration, and conversion-oriented systems.
Core Responsibilities
The role is responsible for driving social growth and managing the creative engine for a portfolio of creator-led brands. Key responsibilities include:
Content System Management
- Develop and execute structured content plans for each creator, incorporating frameworks such as 70/20/10, reskins of successful content, iterative tests, and new creative concepts.
- Transform these plans into a weekly content cycle that consistently produces, tests, and optimises content.
Data-Driven Social Strategy
- Lead strategy for Instagram and short-form channels, designing a clear audience journey from discovery to subscription.
- Monitor performance dashboards weekly, analysing metrics such as impressions, watch time, shares, clicks, subscriptions, and retention to generate actionable creative hypotheses.
- Conduct structured tests on hooks, openings, formats, thumbnails, captions, and posting patterns, scaling the strategies that deliver results.
Platform Expertise
- Stay updated on Instagram’s algorithm changes, formats, and best practices relevant to the brand’s niche.
- Document successful strategies and insights into internal playbooks, enabling the team to continuously improve.
Team and Creator Leadership
- Host weekly content calls with top creators to assess results and plan the next content wave.
- Collaborate with an operations or client success lead and a small team of editors/designers to ensure high-quality output and timely delivery.
High-Quality Content Delivery
- Oversee the weekly delivery of short-form videos and occasional long-form concepts.
- Maintain a strong track record of high-performing content across the portfolio, balancing volume with quality and impact.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in social-first performance creative roles (e.g., Creative Director, Head of Social, Performance Creative Lead, Senior Social Media Manager) for high-growth brands or creator-led businesses.
- Strong iterative mindset: idea → test → analyse → refine → scale.
- Proficient in Instagram analytics, using data to optimise systems rather than individual posts.
- Comfortable taking ownership of business outcomes, including subscriptions, revenue, and retention, not just engagement metrics.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment, working closely with founders and creators in a lean, startup setting.
Working Setup
- Full-time role (8 hours/day), Monday to Friday.
- Remote-first position, requiring reliable internet, strong communication skills, and availability overlapping UK/EU hours.
- Occasional flexibility may be required to support key campaigns or meet weekly content deliverables.
Compensation & Structure
- Base salary: $4,000–$6,000 USD per month (or equivalent in GBP), dependent on experience and fit.
- Performance-based upside: Additional variable compensation linked to subscription and recurring revenue of managed brands. This is uncapped, with a guaranteed minimum once performance targets are met.
- Independent contractor status: The contractor is responsible for managing their own taxes and benefits in their country of residence.
